Integrate Zapier with Zuddl
The Zuddl-Zapier integration capability helps you connect to Zuddl and receive registrant details on Zapier which you can read and pull from your Zapier account
The target audiences for this integration support are those who already have a Zapier account or are prospecting to use Zapier for your app that it natively supports.
If you’re new to Zapier and wish to use it to test the integration, you can sign up for their free plan which allows around 1000 monthly runs.
How it works
Once Zapier receives the data input from Zuddl, it performs the action based on the triggers you set in order to read and receive the data. The data handover solely depending on your app configuration in Zapier. Currently Zuddl only sends registration information to Zapier.
Prerequisites
Before you get started ensure that your Zapier account is all set, go through the quick start guide to set up your account.
Steps:
- On your Zuddl dashboard, create a new event.
Now go to your Zapier dashboard, and click on + Create Zap and select New Zap.
On the new Zap setup page, search for the Zuddl app and click on Zuddl 1.0.0.
On the Zuddl Trigger page, in the Event field, select New Registration and click Continue.
In the Choose account field, you need to authenticate the organization. Click Sign in to initialize the authentication process.
If there are accounts that you had previously connected, they get listed in the drop down menu. To authenticate a new account, click +Connect a new account.
On the consent screen, enter the Token Key and Token Secret that your CSM has provided.
- Click Yes, Continue. This redirects you to the trigger page with an account added and selected under Choose account field.
- On the trigger set up page, click Continue.
Under Set up trigger, copy and paste the Zuddl Event/Webinar Id and click Continue.
The event or webinar Id is an alphanumeric string that can be easily copied from the event URL.
A sample eventId is highlighted in the following event URL: https://setup.zuddl.io/event/1q1q061q-qqq7-48qq-q223-738d7ee93qq0/event-setup
In the Test trigger section, click the Test Trigger button. Zapier instantly connects and searches for any recent registrations that happened in Zuddl to confirm if the trigger is set up correctly. If there are no registrations for your event, it would ask you to create a new registration to test the trigger. Go back to your Zuddl organizer dashboard and add your team members (not organizers) as attendees. Once added, go back to Zapier and test the trigger again.

If a registration is found, it appears on the dropdown menu option with the registrant details such as
Click Continue.
This sets up a trigger. Next, you need to set up an action that should be performed upon the trigger activation. This step establishes a data flow from the Zuddl to your app through Zapier
- Inside the Action step, under Choose app & event search for the app where you want Zapier to pass on the data from Zuddl. For testing purposes, let’s select “Email by Zapier”.
- In the Event section, select Send Outbound Email and click Continue. This action sends a custom outbound email to a recipient of your choice.
- Inside the Set up action section, you can enter the recipient’s address (To email), Subject, Body, and other fields to set up an email. For testing purposes, you can add your email address.
- Click Continue. This shows the filled-up email fields and the empty fields.
- Click Test action. This initiates the action and sends the outbound email and shows the formatted email.
- Now, go to your Mailbox and check for the email. If you have received the email, the trigger test is successful.
Go back to Zapier instance and click Publish Zap.
On the confirmation message, click Publish & Turn on. This turns on the Zap and also the integration on Zuddl. Now, if any attendee is invited through Zuddl, within 1 minute, the data flows into Zapier and activates the trigger.
View Zap history
You can also view the history of the Zap. All registration data that flows into Zapier can be easily seen in the Zap History tool. The latest registrations would take about 1 minute to arrive at Zapier.
- Click History on the right-hand side of the Zap.
- Under the Data In tab, you can view the registrant details such as: firstName, lastName, email, designation, company, phoneNumber, eventId, eventType.
